INFO

Hidrante is pleased to welcome Natalia Bosques Chico as our artist-in-residence in our San Germán project space.

Through painting and drawing, Natalia Bosques Chico's work explores interpersonal friction, the humorous emotions of living in the present of late capitalism, and the displacement of familiar and remembered places. Bosques Chico's work invites the viewer to inhabit these spaces with complex layers of looking, not looking, and inhabiting the in-between, exploring the ecstasy and fear of immersing oneself in the unknown. These acts of seeing/not seeing are intertwined with intricate bodily affirmations of joy, leisure, mourning, and more, through observations of the eroticism of contact and vision, the representation of desire and violence, and identities of belonging.
