INFO

Bugui: Coming from Bugarrón, it refers to the man who habitually maintains a hypermasculine or heterosexual facade, even while secretly assuming the active, versatile, or passive role with other men through sexual acts.
This exhibit aims to illustrate, in a chronological way, the life cycle of the Common Bugarrón, which is currently endangered.
(This is an inference.)
Why is the Common Bugarrón no longer so common?
Because it's no longer necessary. It's not as essential as it once was.
This exhibit isn't meant to answer questions or create new doubts… I mainly want it to feel like being in a zoo and simply observing the bugarrón as a living being.

Regardless of how it is perceived visually, this is not an attack on the bugarrón; it's a tribute to all those who are born a bugarrón and die a bugarrón. In many cases, they can be tender beings, and despite their generally bad reputation, they are part of our LGBTQ culture and community.
